Beschreibung

• Own the vision and roadmap for IMP Finance and Purchasing products • Balance product improvements with new capabilities supporting MAT finance and purchasing • Align product direction with broader platform strategy and commercial objectives • Monitor the competitive landscape in finance and purchasing software • Lead customer discovery through interviews, observation sessions and contextual research • Synthesize customer interviews, support data, usage analytics and NPS into problem statements and opportunity assessments • Build and test prototypes and lightweight MVPs before committing to development • Define product metrics, acceptance criteria and measurable outcomes • Prioritize roadmap initiatives based on customer impact, business value and technical feasibility • Collaborate with engineering, design and other product managers on delivery and cross-product dependencies • Use AI tooling to improve specifications, synthesis and product analysis • Monitor product performance after launch and drive iterative improvements • Collaborate with Support, Implementation, Sales, Customer Success and Marketing on feedback, communication and go-to-market activity • Champion customer needs and evidence-based product decisions • Help embed discovery-led development within the product squad and wider team

🎯 Anforderungen

• Product management or product ownership experience on a finance, accounting, purchasing, procurement or spend-management software product • Strong working understanding of core finance and accounting processes, including nominal and cost centre coding, the requisition-to-invoice cycle, payment runs, bank reconciliation, and approval and control workflows • Typically 4+ years of B2B SaaS product management or product ownership experience • Experience owning an established product and evolving it in response to customer need and commercial opportunity • Strong customer discovery skills, including interviews and evidence-based product direction • Experience defining and tracking product metrics, including leading indicators for retention and adoption • Strong prioritisation judgement and ability to defend trade-off decisions • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills • Comfortable working autonomously in a remote environment • Experience with Monday.com, Jira or Azure DevOps • Active use of AI tooling for product management and curiosity about further applications • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies • Hands-on finance experience, for example in a finance team (desirable) • Knowledge of MAT budgeting, curriculum financial planning or school funding workflows (desirable) • Understanding of MAT structures, the UK education landscape or school finance governance (desirable) • Experience in EdTech, school MIS or education finance systems (desirable) • Experience where the buyer and daily user are different people (desirable) • Formal product discovery training (desirable) • Experience using Claude or Lovable (desirable)
