Beschreibung

• Collaborate with federal tax and advisory teams in buy-side and sell-side transaction tax engagements • Perform multi-state tax due diligence to related middle market companies and private equity investors with a focus on nexus, exposure quantification, and audit risk • Apply and interpret state and local tax law as it relates to tax due diligence exercises • Analyze state income and franchise tax, sales and use tax, property tax, payroll tax, and unclaimed property • Write detailed reports to present diligence findings to clients • Responsible for engagement management, including preparing and presenting tax findings and concepts • Advise clients on how to maximize opportunities and minimize risks related to mergers and acquisitions and provide recommendations in the context of valuation and deal structuring alternatives • Develop and propose creative solutions to engagement and transaction risks and effectively manage problem resolution • Review and critique project databooks and reports prepared by project team members • Perform post-close follow-up work including nexus studies, voluntary disclosures, audit defense, and other SALT planning • Advise clients on preparation for exit and help implement remediation strategies ahead of sale • Interface with senior executives of clients and target companies • Display the ability to manage and prioritize team responsibilities, and proactively consult with Directors and Managing Directors • Work on multiple projects of varying size and complexity • Play an integral role in developing relationships with current and prospective clients, identify market opportunities and articulate our value proposition

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s degree • 5 years of experience in public accounting or related field • 3 years supervisory experience • Must have active CPA or equivalent certification • Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs • Proficient use of applicable technology
