Beschreibung

• Contribute to a product-focused squad developing core features and components • Own features from design and implementation through deployment and monitoring • Design, develop, test, and optimize backend services in Scala • Contribute to TypeScript and Go projects when needed • Work with cats-effect, http4s, RabbitMQ, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL • Review code and provide constructive feedback • Participate in technical design discussions and architecture decisions • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production and non-production issues • Improve deployment pipelines, observability, and production reliability

🎯 Anforderungen

• 2+ years of professional experience with Scala • Understanding of functional programming principles • Solid knowledge of API design, microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-based services • Solid knowledge of SQL and other data storage systems • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and Docker • Proficiency with Git and Git workflows • Strong problem-solving skills • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment • Fluency in English • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is a plus • Familiarity with Java or Kotlin is a plus • Candidates for full-time employment must be based in the UK or Portugal; B2B contracting candidates must be within 1–2 hours of Portugal time zone • Previous experience with TypeScript, Python, Go, or Kotlin is a bonus • Experience building developer integrations such as command-line tools or IDE extensions is a bonus • Familiarity with AWS services and infrastructure best practices is a bonus • Interest in AI's impact on software development and developer workflows is a bonus • Interest in software quality and code linters is a bonus
