Beschreibung

• Design, develop, and operate scalable backend services supporting CreatorIQ’s email and messaging capabilities • Improve existing messaging functionality in the PHP monolith and migrate it into Node.js and TypeScript microservices • Analyze legacy code, dependencies, and data flows to define service boundaries, APIs, data ownership, and migration strategies • Design agent-ready APIs for AI agents and external integrations • Build secure integrations with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and other communication providers • Develop customer-managed inboxes, domains, sender identities, and campaign-specific messaging automation • Design APIs, background jobs, queues, and event-driven workflows with retries, rate limits, idempotency, and provider-failure handling • Improve email authentication, deliverability, bounce and complaint processing, suppression management, and sender reputation • Contribute to React and TypeScript interfaces for messaging configuration, automation, and monitoring • Improve automated testing, observability, performance, and reliability • Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, DevOps, Architects, and engineering teams • Review code, mentor engineers, and use AI-assisted development tools

🎯 Anforderungen

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including ownership of complex production systems from design through deployment • Strong backend development with Node.js and TypeScript, plus React and TypeScript frontend development • Working knowledge of PHP and ability to troubleshoot and enhance legacy code • Experience modernizing legacy applications and decomposing monoliths into microservices and serverless services • Expertise designing REST and/or GraphQL APIs, third-party integrations, and asynchronous workflows • Ability to design machine-to-machine, AI-agent, and automated-workflow APIs with structured schemas and robust error handling • Strong understanding of relational databases, data modeling, transactions, query optimization, and scalable backend architecture • Experience with OAuth 2.0, identity providers, token management, rate limiting, retries, and resilient failure handling • Proficiency with AWS or another major cloud platform • Experience with event-driven architectures and Kafka, Amazon SQS, SNS, or EventBridge • Familiarity with messaging, email, notification, or communication platforms • Knowledge of Google Workspace/Gmail APIs, Microsoft Graph/Outlook 365, SMTP, Amazon SES, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC • Experience building AI-powered applications or agentic systems using LLMs, AI agents, copilots, or workflow orchestration frameworks • Knowledge of JSON Schema, OpenAPI, function calling, and MCP or similar standards • Solid understanding of automated testing, CI/CD, observability, monitoring, and production support • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills • Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher English proficiency, written and spoken
