Beschreibung

• Lead a team of engineers, owning delivery and team development • Drive continuous improvement through fast iterations • Support team members' professional well-being and career development through 1:1s, growth plans, performance reviews, and feedback • Develop future tech leads, engineering managers, and staff-level individual contributors • Write and review code and contribute to technical decisions • Drive architectural and technical design decisions with senior individual contributors • Uphold engineering standards through pull-request reviews and a healthy release process • Lead an AI-augmented engineering team while maintaining quality standards • Own team commitments, timelines, and quality bar • Run planning, prioritization, and delivery cadence • Partner with the Technical Product Owner and Product team on scope, sequencing, tradeoffs, and roadmap • Align engineering work with broader business objectives • Re-plan, re-prioritize, and re-staff in response to business changes • Own team hiring, interviewing, recruiting, and coaching • Make difficult personnel decisions when necessary • Mentor peer engineering managers and share operating practices • Communicate clearly with leadership and prioritize escalations • Empower senior engineers and coach team members • Collaborate with Product, Design, GTM, Customer Success, and other teams

🎯 Anforderungen

• 10+ years of engineering experience, including 4+ years in engineering management roles where you actively coded as part of your responsibilities • Hands-on experience building cloud-based SaaS products and running services in production for Azure; AWS/GCP experience is ideally additional • Experience owning availability, cost, and the customer-facing surface of production services • Strong background understanding and leading teams in the FinOps space • API-first mindset; products must be functional and available through APIs • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, including full-stack engineers and data engineers • Track record of visibly transforming engineering teams with measurable improvements in delivery velocity, technical quality, or team caliber • Deep technical fluency in the team's primary stack, including senior-level ability to read, write, and review code • Strong philosophy on hiring, coaching, performance management, and technical decision-making • Excellent judgment under pressure and ability to communicate decisions clearly • Direct, candid communication skills • Strong Golang knowledge or experience • Established AI-augmented workflow and opinions on applying AI tools and agentic workflows • Hands-on experience with more than one cloud provider • Experience scaling teams, processes, or technical systems as the organization grows
