Beschreibung

• Manage procurement of products and services aligned with Business Unit requirements and standards • Provide procurement services including expediting purchase orders and contracts, resolving invoice mismatches, pricing, quantity, inventory, material transfer, logistics, and terms-and-conditions issues • Support bid events using Power Advocate with minimal management direction • Generate sustainable cost savings and inventory reduction savings • Advise the Business Unit on procurement processes, sourcing options, materials-management strategies, cost controls, and procurement-issue avoidance • Monitor and manage supplier relationships and compliance with supplier agreements • Liaise between external suppliers and the Business Unit • Establish supplier relationships and negotiate cost savings and inventory reductions • Provide customer service, respond to inquiries, and provide material status supporting work schedules • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and Duke Energy business standards • Analyze and evaluate supplier performance • Manage daily, monthly, and quarterly reports • Serve as a subject matter expert on Supply Chain and/or Business Unit special projects and teams • Mentor and assist in developing procurement specialist personnel, processes, and standards/procedures • Support T-week requirements and attend T-week meetings • Support 24/7 outage schedules • Attend Operational Focus Meetings and Corrective Action Program meetings as needed • Participate in Procurement Duty rotation, including nights and weekends • Serve as the single point of contact for Business Unit procurement, material transfer, inventory management, and commodity transfer processes • Represent Supply Chain at Business Unit meetings • Monitor and manage commercial performance of supplier contracts and purchase orders • Resolve purchase-order issues to ensure prompt supplier payment • Work remotely after onboarding, with occasional travel to internal facilities and vendor locations

🎯 Anforderungen

• Procurement Specialist: Bachelor’s degree + 2 years related work experience OR Associate’s degree + 4 years related work experience OR High School/GED degree + 6 years related work experience • Senior Procurement Specialist: Bachelor’s degree + 5 years related work experience OR Associate’s degree + 7 years related work experience OR High School/GED degree + 9 years related work experience • Microsoft Office Suite • Nuclear Asset Suite • Cast Pro • Proficient analytical, business acumen, and customer service skills • Strong sense of urgency and proven desire to learn • Ability to work in a team environment • Strong multitasking skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Proficient planning, organizational, communication, interpersonal, and analytics skills • Must live within a reasonable commute to a Duke Energy facility and within Duke Energy’s footprint states (NC, SC, FL, OH, KY, IN) or the DC metro area • Must be able to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future • Ability to work 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts Monday–Thursday • Ability to support after-hours and weekend duty schedules • Ability to participate in Procurement Duty rotation, including nights and weekends • Ability to travel 5–15%
