Beschreibung

• Provide ongoing support for all mainframe hardware, including troubleshooting, problem resolution, and maintenance • Proactively maintain hardware on current microcode levels • Support new client business transitions and migrations • Perform IOGEN and other hardware configuration work • Perform DASD/TAPE replication using different technology • Configure storage and processors, including DASD model conversion and updating MSUs • Participate in problem resolution for Sev1/Sev2 incidents • Assist with disaster recovery activities • Troubleshoot major system issues and escalate to vendors for service restoration and problem resolution • Create tools and processes to increase team productivity and efficiency • Produce documentation, standard work procedures, and automation • Work closely with accounts and clients when technical consulting is required • Perform ITIL change management tasks, including ticketing and opening and closing changes • Provide 24x7x365 on-call support, service restoration, root cause analysis, and problem resolution • Support many customers through a leveraged support model • Mentor team members when required

🎯 Anforderungen

• Minimum of 10 years of related experience • Bachelor’s degree required and/or equivalent work experience • Experience in Hardware Management Consoles for different Mainframe Hardware such as Processor, DISK and TAPE • Knowledge in DISK and TAPE Architecture • Extensive Knowledge in IOCP/IOCDS/IODF • Experience in IBM’s Copy Service Manager • Knowledge in VTAM/TCPIP concepts • Ability to diagnose and handle common hardware issues and resolve them promptly • Ability to analyse performance on DASD and Tape subsystems
