Beschreibung

• Define the platform’s future architecture and set technical direction for the Merchant Experience pillar • Own and share accountability for solutions and technical direction within the pillar • Make architecture and technical decisions and review architectural and design documentation • Ensure solutions fit the broader platform strategy and defined practices • Contribute to engineering-wide strategy and standards through the Architecture Council • Guide development teams through implementation using proofs of concept, design explanations, and design issue resolution • Investigate and solve architecture problems involving performance, scalability, and integration • Mentor and train team members on design techniques and coding standards • Develop cohesive architecture practices and guardrails with architects and engineers • Drive adoption of architecture practices and standards across teams • Act as the Domain-Driven Design and architectural best-practices authority within the pillar • Mentor and educate engineering teams to drive consistent, high-quality solution development

🎯 Anforderungen

• At least 10 years of proven experience in software engineering, including Staff/Principal Engineer, Lead Developer, or Software Architect roles • Expert-level theoretical and practical understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) • Experience applying DDD to Microservices architecture and complex domain modeling • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills • Solid understanding of data structures, software architecture, design patterns, and distributed systems • Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms such as Google Cloud or Azure • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills • Expert-level PHP knowledge (nice-to-have) • Experience with PostgreSQL and MySQL (nice-to-have) • Understanding of front-end technologies (nice-to-have) • Practical experience using LLMs and coding assistants to improve software development workflows • Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, code reviews, continuous delivery, A/B testing, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and containerized/cloud-native environments
