Beschreibung

• Lead technical design, development, and implementation of comprehensive solution architectures from presales through delivery • Drive execution of Distribution Automation, Process Bus Digital Substations, Cybersecurity, and Top-Down Engineering Solutions • Collaborate with business development and sales teams to analyze customer needs and translate them into technical specifications • Design and execute projects involving protection relays, bay controller units, auxiliary relays, industrial computers, synchronizing clocks, telecom equipment, and software applications • Lead technical project activities from design to commissioning • Serve as the main technical interface between customers and the project execution team • Lead customer kickoff meetings, specification clarifications, and design reviews • Participate in project risk and opportunity reviews • Manage engineering man-day budgets and provide regular progress updates • Collaborate with the Project Manager on planning, risk mitigation, and change requests • Analyze customer specifications and write project technical documentation • Validate technical solutions with customers and ensure adherence to document control • Specify software and IEDs and manage technical execution planning • Ensure adherence to GE Vernova safety standards • Address technical deviations and manage fault reports • Support site engineers remotely or on-site • Lead Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests • Coordinate with commissioning teams for major site milestones • Provide project-specific customer training • Support tendering and commercial teams • Ensure customer satisfaction through professional project execution • Present solutions and support demos, pilots, and proof-of-concepts for stakeholders from field engineers to executives

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited college or university • Minimum of 5 years experience in Digital Protection & Control Systems or Energy Management Solutions design engineering for utilities and industrials, ideally within Grid Automation • Relevant experience in Electric Power Distribution Automation, Process Bus, Substation Digitization, Monitoring & Diagnostics, Asset Performance Management (APM), Device Management (DvM), or Cybersecurity Management • Proficient in designing and programming electrical control systems, including SCADA/HMI, cybersecurity, network equipment, IEC61850, and firewalls • Fluent in English • Ability to travel 30% in the U.S. and Canada • In-depth knowledge of automation electrical control systems, SCADA/DCS systems, and networking communication protocols • Experience with smart grid technologies and renewable energy integration • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to Grid Automation • Certifications in relevant technologies, such as Cisco Certified Network Professional or Certified Protection Professional • Professional Engineering license • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
