Beschreibung

• Perform inpatient facility coding for highly complex cases in a Level I Trauma hospital environment • Apply ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, MS-DRGs, and Official Coding Guidelines • Conduct DRG validation, identifying documentation and coding opportunities affecting MS-DRG assignment and reimbursement • Code trauma, critical care, surgical, and medically complex inpatient encounters • Apply Medicare inpatient reimbursement methodologies and DRG assignment knowledge • Maintain high coding accuracy while meeting productivity expectations • Review clinical documentation and communicate coding findings • Deliver high-quality coding services to HCCS clients as part of a direct-hire coding team

🎯 Anforderungen

• Current AHIMA or AAPC coding certification required • CCS certification strongly preferred • Minimum of 3 years of recent Inpatient Facility coding experience in a Level I Trauma hospital setting • Extensive Level I Trauma coding experience required • Strong DRG Validation experience, including identifying documentation and coding opportunities affecting MS-DRG assignment and reimbursement • Expert knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, MS-DRGs, and Official Coding Guidelines • Experience coding highly complex inpatient cases, including trauma, critical care, surgical, and medically complex encounters • Strong understanding of Medicare inpatient reimbursement methodologies and DRG assignment • Proven ability to maintain high coding accuracy while meeting productivity expectations • Excellent critical thinking, communication, and documentation review skills • Must reside in the United States • This is an Inpatient Facility coding position, not a Pro Fee (E/M) coding role
