Beschreibung

• Own the complete lifecycle of an assigned physical-product portfolio, including hero products and accessories • Lead new products and line extensions through the Product Development Process from concept and discovery through launch and sunsetting • Synthesize reviews, CX tickets, surveys, in-home research, and social listening into product insights • Contribute to NPI roadmap planning using market trends, customer insights, and portfolio performance data • Write and maintain product requirements documents (PRDs) • Ensure delivered products match defined requirements • Work with engineers, industrial designers, and suppliers to translate product vision into executable specifications • Surface tradeoffs and make recommendations regarding feasibility and product ideals • Serve as the central decision hub for active programs • Visit suppliers and international manufacturing partners, typically in Asia, approximately 3–4 times per year • Partner with product marketing on positioning, value propositions, claims, product briefs, packaging, and collateral • Manage external contractors and freelancers supporting product-development workstreams • Track sales, reviews, returns, customer feedback, and accessory attach rates • Identify portfolio improvements, fixes, and opportunities • Collaborate with the PM counterpart and Product Development Program Manager partners on prioritization and process improvements

🎯 Anforderungen

• 4+ years of experience owning the full lifecycle of a physical consumer product from concept through production • Hands-on experience with international and/or Asia-based manufacturing partners • Track record of carrying a strong consumer-product perspective through every stage of development • Excellent communication across engineering, supply chain, industrial design, marketing, and executive stakeholders • Experience managing external contractors or freelancers • Commercial fluency in cost, margin, and positioning • Technical fluency in hardware development, including materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering tradeoffs • Ability to engage credibly with engineers and suppliers, challenge technical decisions, and contribute to brainstorming • Formal engineering training not required • Ability to navigate ambiguity and changing conditions • Ability to influence without authority and drive clarity
