Beschreibung

• Lead structural calculation expertise for the Rhône-Alpes Bridges and Civil Structures team and serve as the primary point of contact for modeling, design, repair, and structural strengthening • Conduct and manage structural assessments • Perform and oversee complex calculations and structural modeling • Perform and review construction-stage calculations for structures • Review and validate the team’s calculation notes, ensuring consistency and quality • Define and improve standard methods, assumptions, and calculation tools, and document lessons learned • Monitor regulatory and standards developments and share updates with the team • Support, train, and develop engineers and draftspeople in structural calculation • Provide technical support to project managers during both tendering and design phases, and address sensitive technical matters with clients and external reviewers • Participate in specialized internal and external working groups • Contribute to responses to tenders and requests for proposals • Contribute to the company’s R&D initiatives, including new materials, strengthening methods, digital tools, publications, and partnerships • Conduct structural assessments • Carry out design studies, including preliminary design, detailed design, calculation notes, and preparation of tender documents • Oversee project reviews and controls • Provide construction supervision for bridge and civil-structure projects • Ensure the quality of studies and construction works while meeting deadlines and budget requirements • Coordinate the work of draftspeople • Work on design and construction project-management assignments for bridges and infrastructure, particularly the repair and assessment of existing structures

🎯 Anforderungen

• Engineering degree in bridges and civil structures or civil engineering (ESTP, INSA, ENTPE, Arts et Métiers, Polytech, ENISE, CHEC, ISBA, or equivalent) • At least 6 years of experience in the structural calculation and design of bridges and civil structures, ideally within an engineering consultancy or as part of an owner’s engineering/project-management team • Structural analysis and advanced modeling • Strong experience with prestressed concrete • Advanced knowledge of the Eurocodes • Bridge and civil-structure design • Repair, assessment, and evaluation of existing structures • Proficiency with IT and office software • Ideally, good knowledge of AutoCAD and structural calculation software (ST1, Robot) • Strong understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) principles and applicable regulations and standards • Methodical approach, strong analytical and synthesis skills, and a talent for teaching • Enjoyment of knowledge sharing and team development • Technical curiosity and an interest in innovation and R&D • Strong writing skills and the ability to defend technical decisions before clients • All our positions are open to applicants with disabilities
