Beschreibung

• This is a bureau-wide, statewide consultant position responsible for assisting the Field Operations Environmental Administrator. • The position provides technical, scientific, and professional expertise and guidance on the physical protection of Category 1 and Category 2 quantities of Radioactive Material. • Conducts assigned on-site inspections of x-ray facilities and users of radioactive materials. • Performs radiation emergency response duties, assessing hazards and taking appropriate actions to minimize radiation exposure to workers, the public, and the environment. • Investigates special areas and reports unusual findings to the Field Operations Environmental Administrator. • Serves as mentor for new staff.

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent 4 years of experience in the area of chemistry, physics, health physicist (radiation related) or nuclear medicine technology (or similar work experience) • Knowledge of the terminology, principles, and analytical techniques of radiation.
