• Participate in a rigorous interview and enrollment process for the Clinical ATP Program • Complete a comprehensive 6-month blended learning program with directed learning and fieldwork experience • Become a RESNA-certified Assistive Technology Professional within 6 months • Analyze the technology needs of people with disabilities and help them select and use adaptive devices • Evaluate clients’ needs and recommend complex manual and power wheelchairs, custom seating, and adaptive equipment • Work with clients, therapists, and physicians to ensure products meet medical and functional needs • Confirm medical justification and explain health insurance benefits and coverage • Develop new referral sources and clients through professional presentations • Conduct comprehensive equipment evaluations and enter orders in a timely manner • Obtain letters of medical necessity and appropriate medical documentation • Complete work orders, research components, calculate equipment prices, respond to information requests, and prepare quotes • Follow up on work orders and ensure timely equipment receipt and delivery • Ensure equipment fitting, adjustments, modifications, safety education, and client training • Coordinate with technicians and branches to prepare equipment, schedule deliveries, and perform repairs and modifications • Maintain client satisfaction and relationships with referral sources, physicians, and healthcare providers • Travel throughout the assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers and demonstrate products • Maintain product, service, clinical, policy, infection control, and equipment management knowledge • Support quarterly physical inventory counts as needed • Attend NSM’s National Symposium and Sales Meeting • Maintain regular and predictable attendance and complete required continuing education
• Licensed and board certified occupational or physical therapist • Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational or Physical Therapy • National credentialing with AOTA or APTA • Current resident state license in good standing • 3+ years of experience in OT or PT practice • Complex Rehab Technology experience preferred • Seating and positioning experience desired • Must possess valid State Driver’s License and have maintained a safe driving record • Knowledge of basic computer skills, including mobile devices, internet, e-mail, and enterprise software • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities • Proven leadership and training skills • Proficient written and verbal communication skills • Exceptional organization skills • Ability to lift 50 pounds • Must maintain regular and predictable attendance • Must complete and pass the RESNA Exam during the training cycle • Must complete annual Compliance Training requirements and ATP Competency within the suspense date
