Beschreibung

• Work on small teams to build scalable applications for government services • Design, implement, and deliver services used by millions of Americans • Develop Ruby on Rails end-to-end systems for a major government partner • Modernize a legacy enterprise platform and improve public-facing processes and user experiences • Participate in strategy, planning, post-production testing, and support • Design, review, and build well-crafted software with Nava engineers • Collaborate with government partners and contractors to architect, implement, and deploy new and improved systems • Work in an agile manner to ship features meeting user needs • Create tools and processes to automate development, testing, and production workflows • Write and review technical documentation and perform code reviews • Participate in an on-call rotation, support production systems, and investigate incidents • Participate in hiring activities, including referrals, interviews, and interview debriefs

🎯 Anforderungen

• Experience with Ruby, Ruby on Rails, and Typescript • At least 12 years of full-stack engineering experience contributing to development initiatives • Meaningful experience with web-based systems, front-end and back-end • Experience working on large-scale applications and systems • Knowledge of engineering fundamentals and architecture • Expertise developing well-crafted software • Strong client services experience • Experience with modern web development frameworks • Experience designing and implementing highly scalable, available, and performant application architectures and code • Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision • Ability to work effectively on a team • Previous experience as a software engineer • Experience with automated testing • Knowledge of code quality tools such as Linter • Experience with system design for sustainable high-usage systems and front-end/back-end integration • Legal authorization to work in the United States • Ability to meet other requirements for applicable government contracts • Work authorization that does not require visa sponsorship now or in the future • May be subject to a government background check or security clearance, depending on the contract
