Beschreibung

• Own the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and monthly/annual close • Prepare accurate, timely financial statements and ad hoc reports for the CFO, executive team, board, and investors • Manage GAAP compliance, including ASC 606 revenue recognition across contract types • Own government contract accounting and compliance, including maintaining a DCAA-compliant accounting system, managing indirect rates, annual incurred cost submission, contract billing, and project-level financial tracking • Lead transition from shared services to an independent finance and accounting function • Design, document, and implement accounting processes and controls for AR, AP, payroll, close calendar, and approval workflows • Establish integration of sales projection and task-level time-tracking systems into a financial ecosystem • Build interim reporting and reconciliation tooling during system implementation • Lead selection and implementation of a government-contract-capable ERP • Serve as primary liaison with external auditors and ensure audit readiness • Maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and cash management practices • Support the CFO with budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections • Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights for strategic planning • Review contracts for proper revenue recognition • Assist with M&A integration activities • Contribute to board materials and private-equity reporting packages

🎯 Anforderungen

• 5+ years in accounting overall, with progressive ownership of the close • B2B SaaS experience strongly preferred, including comfort with subscription revenue, ARR, and deferred revenue mechanics • Experience in a government contracting environment strongly preferred, such as DCAA-compliant accounting, indirect rates, or incurred cost submissions • Experience building or meaningfully rebuilding accounting processes and systems at a small or scaling company, or core contribution to an ERP implementation • Comfortable designing workflows rather than only operating within an existing one • Hands-on operator comfortable owning the function as a department of one • Deep knowledge of GAAP and ASC 606 • Experience with government-contract-capable ERPs such as Deltek Costpoint or similar strongly preferred • NetSuite, Sage Intacct, and QuickBooks Online experience welcome • Strong Excel skills • Exceptional attention to detail and track record of delivering timely, accurate financials • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance • CPA required • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative, professional approach with executives, auditors, contracting officers, and cross-functional partners • Must be a U.S. citizen • Ability to work Central/Eastern time zone
