Beschreibung

• Design, build, and maintain features using React, NextJS, and modern JavaScript • Architect and implement new product capabilities while improving existing ones • Lead technical decisions and help establish best practices and coding standards • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the team • Collaborate with product and design to translate requirements into elegant solutions • Improve engineering processes and contribute to technical strategy • Participate in cross-functional discussions to represent engineering perspectives • Balance technical debt with feature development to ensure sustainable growth • Help establish a strong engineering culture as we build our in-house team • Adhere to all federal, state and/or local regulations, OpenEd policies and procedures, and other compliance obligations • Lead by example to foster an environment that is supportive of OpenEd’s values and represent OpenEd with a high level of integrity and professionalism.

🎯 Anforderungen

• 5+ years of professional software development experience; preferably at early-stage companies or in founding engineering roles • Strong expertise in React, JavaScript and modern frontend development • Enthusiasm for our mission • Experience with NextJS or similar React frameworks • Understanding of database design and SQL (particularly PostgreSQL) • Proven track record of designing and implementing complex features • Experience mentoring junior developers and guiding technical decisions • Solid understanding of performance optimization and best practices • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Strong communication abilities and team collaboration skills • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
