Beschreibung

• Lead the Ecommerce team within Phorest’s Consumer domain, owning its overall health, productivity, and impact • Shape the overarching consumer strategy with Engineering Managers, Product Leads, and stakeholders • Balance new capabilities with technical maintenance each development cycle • Identify team bottlenecks, improve processes, and apply software delivery best practices • Track progress across teams and ensure capabilities are released on time and to quality standards • Champion observability, establish SLOs, implement monitoring, and proactively address reliability issues • Establish quality processes, maintain code quality, define automated testing strategies, and ensure test coverage • Contribute hands-on to team work, review code, and support design and implementation of complex distributed systems • Guide technical solutions for scale, resilience, and reliability • Manage a scrum team through one-to-ones, coaching, feedback, performance reviews, and career development • Attend Product and Engineering management meetings and influence group-wide decisions • Report progress, strategy, and challenges to the Head of Engineering of the Consumer group • Build Phorest’s engineering brand through talks and blog posts

🎯 Anforderungen

• 3+ years of demonstrated impact in a similar leadership role with hands-on people-management experience • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field • At least 5 years of professional experience with object-oriented software design, primarily Java • Ability to lead team strategy, roadmaps, goals, and sustainable delivery • Coaching ability and clear communication of expectations and feedback • Proven relationships with product counterparts and external stakeholders • Strategic thinking and ability to convey ideas in a fast-paced, evolving environment • Previous hands-on development experience with complex distributed systems • Experience working with and managing Agile teams • Experience improving the full development process • Experience developing engineers and supporting career progression • Focus on quality, efficiency, value delivery, and waste reduction
