Beschreibung

• Lead, mentor, and develop an engineering team within the Pay Pillar • Foster continuous learning, personal growth, and open communication • Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and building a diverse and inclusive team • Provide technical guidance on best practices, scalability, and maintainability • Work with the Principal Engineer to prioritize and address technical challenges • Review code, support system design, and guide development of complex distributed systems • Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and other Engineering teams • Ensure technical solutions align with business goals and provide seamless payment experiences • Champion observability and ensure service level objectives are defined and met • Implement monitoring tools to detect and address system issues proactively • Establish escalation processes and advocate for operational excellence • Drive key technical projects and ensure timely, high-quality delivery • Identify bottlenecks and improve processes • Ensure adherence to software delivery best practices • Report regularly to the Senior Engineering Manager on progress, strategy, and team challenges

🎯 Anforderungen

• 2+ years demonstrated impact in a similar leadership role, at scale and having direct reports • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a similar related field • Strong proficiency and 5 years of professional experience with object-oriented software design, for example Java, Kotlin, or Ruby • Experience designing scalable resilient solutions, ideally in the fintech domain • Ability to collaboratively lead the evolution of the team’s strategy, setting roadmaps and goals and delivering on them sustainably • Comfortable coaching team members • Ability to communicate expectations clearly and deliver individual feedback frequently • Proven history of building close working relationships with product counterparts and external stakeholders, such as payment providers or third-party solutions • Ability to inspire and motivate, improve quality and productivity, while maintaining technical innovation and excellence • Strategic thinking and ability to convey thoughts meaningfully in a fast-paced and evolving environment • High degree of autonomy • Experience working with and managing Agile teams • Experience driving improvement across the whole development process • Experience developing and supporting engineers in personal growth and career progression • Focus on quality, efficiency, value delivery, and waste reduction • Experience with monitoring and observability tools
