Beschreibung

• Handle tasks assigned by the Safety Department, including supporting ongoing projects, reviewing and analyzing data, implementing and maintaining safety protocols, and developing or expanding systems and processes supporting strategic safety initiatives • Report to an assigned member of the Safety Department • Maintain the online safety management system • Set up new projects and personnel • Provide new-user training for contractors and Power personnel on software • Develop and distribute periodic compliance reports and follow up on open items • Review Power and subcontractor site safety documentation, including safety plans, JHAs, and certifications • Request updated subcontractor plans and create plans for self-perform work • Create project-specific startup guides for contractors and project teams • Request, receive, and review safety data sheets and flag high-risk materials • Assist with developing, revising, and conducting employee and subcontractor safety training • Assist in resolving safety observations and conduct audits of required contractor safety inspections • Relay safety-related communications and support project teams • Develop and revise programs and documentation • Assist in evaluating company and contractor safety performance and selection • Work with the risk department to correlate leading and lagging indicators • Provide feedback and recommendations based on safety data analysis • Provide weekly status reports and logs of active responsibilities via calls with the supervisor

🎯 Anforderungen

• Current full-time student working to complete a Safety and Health Degree from an accredited program • Ability to log 10-15 hours per week on assigned projects • Passion for safety, construction, and injury/accident prevention • Strong organization, communication and prioritization skills • Self-starter with the ability to schedule and efficiently support teams • Ability to assume responsibility and interface well with teams • Problem solving ability • Attention to detail • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, capture and organize videos and photos, etc. • Access to high-speed internet
