Beschreibung

• Manage the comprehensive Safety Management System and Worker Protection Plan • Interface with site safety personnel and the Site Technical Representative to resolve safety issues • Communicate safety requirements and goals to workers • Conduct safety and pre-job meetings • Conduct and document daily safety inspections using the Safety/Housekeeping Inspection Checklist and submit them to the STR • Perform and document safety observations of employees and submit results to the STR, SRMC Safety Personnel, and SRMC Industrial Hygiene • Attend injury, illness, and incident fact-finding meetings • Perform exposure assessments and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements • Conduct or oversee industrial hygiene surveys • Collect and transmit samples for analysis • Evaluate and control health hazards • Maintain technical competency in industrial hygiene equipment • Review Job Hazard Analyses during surveys and provide corrective feedback • Notify supervisors and personnel of monitoring results • Recommend controls, work practices, and personal protective equipment to prevent exposure • Maintain survey records, monitoring results, and equipment calibration logs • Provide or coordinate hazard-specific training • Review plans for new operations and significant changes involving hazardous materials or carcinogens • Support safe and compliant execution of construction and industrial hygiene work at the Saltstone Facility, Savannah River Site

🎯 Anforderungen

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification under the Board of Certified Safety Professionals • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification under the American Board of Industrial Hygiene • At least 10 years of construction field safety management experience • Bachelor's Degree in Safety and Health • Thorough understanding of 29 CFR 1910/1926 and 10 CFR 851 • U.S. citizenship required • Valid driver's license • Valid registration for personal vehicles operated by the candidate • Proof of insurance in the vehicle for personal vehicles operated by the candidate • Full-time, dedicated on-site availability • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; advanced Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word preferred as ideal tools proficiency • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, and Visio; ability to learn other tools as necessary
