Beschreibung

• Develop and execute lobbying strategies with members of the United States Congress • Build relationships with legislators, chiefs of staff, and committee staff • Advocate for or against legislation, regulations, and government actions affecting the organization • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, including bills, hearings, and agency rules • Analyze policy impacts on the company, business units, or product segments • Advise executives on risks, opportunities, and positioning • Brief the CEO and senior leadership on political or policy developments • Help shape corporate strategy in light of government actions • Coordinate external messaging with legal and communications • Work with trade associations, think tanks, and advocacy groups • Build coalitions supporting shared policy goals • Represent the company in public forums, hearings, industry panels, and select trade associations • Interface with federal agencies on rulemaking and public comments • Track enforcement trends and regulatory priorities • Ensure compliance with lobbying disclosure laws, including LDA filings • Maintain ethical standards and transparency in lobbying activities

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s degree required • 10+ years in government, lobbying firms, or corporate government affairs • Prior experience on Capitol Hill, in a federal agency, or a lobbying firm strongly preferred • Established relationships with policymakers and staff in D.C. • Deep understanding of the legislative process • Strategic thinking and political judgment • Strong communication and negotiation skills • Crisis management and issue advocacy • Based in or frequently traveling to Washington, D.C. • Regular meetings on Capitol Hill, at federal agencies, and with industry groups
