Beschreibung

• Plan, direct, coordinate civil/structural analysis, and oversee project completion for high-voltage electrical transmission lines • Complete calculations, construction drawings, contracts, technical specifications, and design standards for distribution and/or transmission lines • Perform civil/structural engineering analyses and design for transmission line layouts through 500kV • Prepare complex engineering deliverables • Conduct and coordinate design review meetings • Create and support construction contracts, material take-offs, material standards, and technical specifications • Develop drawing packages for bidding, construction, as-built, and submittal purposes • Research and recommend equipment and material selections • Coordinate construction activities and review submittals • Communicate project scopes, budgets, and schedules • Assist with project budgets • Develop training modules and initiatives as directed by the Principal Engineer • Maintain knowledge of applicable regulations, laws, standards, and best practices, including NERC Reliability and the National Electric Safety Code • Provide technical direction and assist in directing work for others • Serve as a contact for construction field crews and project management • Support business development and pursuit activities

🎯 Anforderungen

• 5–10+ years of overhead transmission line design experience • Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices • Bachelor of Science in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or a related field, from an ABET-accredited school • Ability to analyze problems and develop effective strategic and functional solutions • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and run projects with little oversight • Extensive knowledge of civil/structural transmission line design and field construction techniques • Advanced knowledge of PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, and MFAD • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and standard business office applications • Knowledge of surveying techniques, practices, and procedures • Extensive knowledge of safe working practices related to electric transmission lines • Strong teamwork, quality, and time-management capabilities • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • PE license required • Willingness and ability to travel up to 15% • Valid driver’s license required
