Beschreibung

• Support Quora and Poe products as a member of the Security Engineering Team • Partner with engineering teams to review cloud and compute architecture design changes • Establish threat models for cloud and compute paved roads • Develop or adopt open-source tools to monitor and harden cloud infrastructure and operating systems • Develop security logging pipelines and detect intrusions • Apply AWS and Kubernetes security best practices to inform remediations and the team's control roadmap • Define and implement security policies and monitor conformance • Write automation code for threat detection, incident containment, and network access management • Conduct initial incident triage by determining scope, urgency, and potential impact • Participate in the incident response process

🎯 Anforderungen

• Capable software engineer with expertise in at least one security domain • Hands-on experience securing large-scale cloud environments, particularly AWS • Experience building secure infrastructure-as-code pipelines using Terraform or CloudFormation • Understanding of IAM policies, network segmentation, and VPC design • Thorough grasp of monitoring and logging in cloud-native environments • Ability to identify misconfigurations, mitigate risks, and drive remediation processes • Experience with security automation and integrating security tools into CI/CD pipelines • Experience with SAST, DAST, and dependency scanning • Secure coding and application security mentoring skills • AWS infrastructure security knowledge • Knowledge of container security, POSIX Capabilities, SECCOMP, and Linux Security Modules • Experience with OSQuery and eBPF • Availability for meetings and impromptu communication during Quora's coordination hours (Mon-Fri, 9am-3pm Pacific Time) • Successful completion of identity verification and comprehensive background check before onboarding • US applicants: salary range applies to US-based applicants • Canada applicants: salary range applies to Canadian applicants; Toronto and Vancouver have a separate range
