Beschreibung

• Serve as the technical point of contact for customers in the field • Own integrations, onsite deployment work, and translation of operational needs into scalable technical solutions • Work hands-on with customer systems, troubleshoot complex environments, and rapidly prototype tools and integrations • Spend approximately 25% of time onsite with customers across the US • Shadow operators, analysts, and frontline teams to understand workflows, constraints, and integration requirements • Prototype tools and integrations in the field to validate ideas, solve urgent problems, and prove feasibility • Diagnose operational and systems issues across varied and degraded environments • Translate field insights into technical requirements and integration specifications for engineering • Lead technical integration work across APIs, data pipelines, hardware/software interfaces, and security/compliance-sensitive deployments • Collaborate with engineering to align features, interfaces, and infrastructure with operational needs • Represent customer technical realities internally and decompose ambiguous problems into technical workstreams • Enable smooth deployment, data flow, connectivity, and operational reliability in mission-critical contexts • Inform product and engineering teams using data, field observations, and frontline feedback • Support pre-sales by traveling onsite with prospects to demonstrate and validate product value • Help establish the foundation, processes, and culture for Realm’s forward deployed engineering function

🎯 Anforderungen

• 2+ years of software engineering or forward deployed/mission operations experience, with a record of shipping impactful work • Strong technical fluency and ability to read, write, and debug code sufficiently to build prototypes • Experience working directly with enterprise, industrial, government, defense, or security-critical products • Strong coding skills, problem-solving ability, and understanding of computer science fundamentals • Mastery of Git and Linux • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional problem solving, influence technical teams, and drive projects from inception to delivery • Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, prioritize effectively, think structurally, and balance long-term vision with immediate needs • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong data instincts, including data analysis, hypothesis formation, and data-informed decision-making • Hands-on prototyping and AI-assisted coding skills • Based in the US; citizenship preferred or permanent residency • Nice to have: experience working onsite with customers in field or operational environments • Nice to have: experience deploying software to industrial or government settings, including safety, latency, offline operations, or compliance constraints • Nice to have: familiarity with mobile or web applications, cloud infrastructure, IoT/industrial systems, or real-time data pipelines • Nice to have: experience navigating sensitive or mission-critical customer environments • Nice to have: expertise in mining and industrial safety regulations • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, per application form
