Beschreibung

• Own Shopify checkout and post-purchase features across checkout, thank-you, customer-account, and post-purchase surfaces • Build and maintain Shopify extensions and server-side code that determines displayed offers • Work within Shopify runtime constraints including bundle size, sandboxed APIs, and strict review • Rebuild experimentation reporting for Smart Flows and A/B Testing • Design data models, PHP and TypeScript endpoints, and BigQuery/MySQL queries • Build secure, well-structured REST APIs in PHP and TypeScript for extensions, admin, and Shopify integrations • Use GraphQL to communicate with Shopify • Investigate merchant-reported production problems and identify root causes • Improve logging and metrics and participate in rotating on-call • Use Anthropic Claude Code across development, review, and testing • Perform unit, end-to-end, manual, and real-Shopify-store testing without a separate QA handoff • Review code and contribute to technical decisions beyond immediate surfaces • Mentor by example and route ad hoc requests through the Product Manager for prioritization • Collaborate directly with the Product Manager and engineering peers in a small, high-autonomy team

🎯 Anforderungen

• Staff-level ownership with minimal specification and ability to drive technical decisions or migrations end-to-end across multiple systems or teams • Fluent daily use of AI coding tools and judgment to evaluate their output • Strong troubleshooting skills in unfamiliar codebases using TypeScript or PHP • 8+ years building production web applications • Hands-on experience shipping and maintaining PHP (CodeIgniter 4 or comparable MVC framework) and TypeScript with React • Experience owning a revenue-critical, customer-facing production system, including logs, metrics, escalations, and incident resolution • Hands-on BigQuery experience on Google Cloud or another columnar warehouse, including analytical queries and cost awareness • Comfort with MySQL schema design and migrations • Testing discipline across unit and end-to-end suites, including self-directed QA • Secure coding fundamentals for buyer and order data, including OWASP Top 10 • Track record with orchestration and platform-wide, componentized systems • Fit for a remote-first, high-autonomy culture and responsiveness on Slack during working hours • Educational background in CS/Engineering or similar area, or equivalent experience • Preferred: Shopify app development, especially Checkout Extensibility, post-purchase extensions, or Admin and Storefront GraphQL APIs • Preferred: experience with tightly constrained runtimes such as React Native • Preferred: Preact • Preferred: comfort with Kanban and Sprint-based workflows • Eligibility to work in the United States or Canada and sponsorship requirements must be disclosed
