Beschreibung

• Apply civil/structural engineering principles and project management skills to carry out project tasks from start to finish • Resolve construction issues, especially involving reinforced concrete • Perform structural design and analysis for substation facilities, equipment foundations, steel support structures, control buildings, cable trench systems, and rigid bus structures • Coordinate with electrical engineering teams on physical substation layout and equipment integration • Maintain project budgets, schedules, and quality requirements • Follow and improve company design procedures and industry standards for power delivery projects • Take responsibility as engineer of record as relevant experience is gained • Review or delegate review of project-related design documents and fabrication shop drawings • Review design codes and apply appropriate design standards • Perform value engineering analyses • Conduct occasional project site visits to inspect construction quality • Support proposals with technical input and scope development • Provide occasional site visits, design reviews, and proposal support

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (required) • 5+ years of progressive structural engineering experience • Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one U.S. state (or ability to obtain) • Experience in structural analysis and design software including AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, and Lpile preferred • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Knowledge of applicable design codes, including ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, NESC, and IBC • Experience with the design and detailing of reinforced concrete and steel structures • Experience preparing construction documents and design calculations • Experience reviewing drawings • Experience collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams • Familiarity with U.S. structural-design compliance processes
