Beschreibung

• Perform transmission line design in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE for wood, steel, and concrete structures • Develop project drawings and documents, including plan and profiles, bills of materials, assembly details, and foundation details • Interpret and apply RRC, client, and industry standards to independently execute projects and tasks • Evaluate designs and select criteria using sound judgment, with oversight and guidance from senior engineers • Ensure designs meet project specifications, design requirements, and company quality standards • Contribute to the creation, improvement, and implementation of internal design procedures and standards • Mentor and train designers/technicians and share technical expertise • Participate in occasional project site-visits

🎯 Anforderungen

• Associate’s or technical school degree, or a combination of education and relevant experience • 5+ years of experience in transmission line engineering design • Proficiency using Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and/or MicroStation • Proficiency with PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE for wood, steel, and concrete structures • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Attention to detail and organizational skills • Knowledge of design codes, standards, and guidelines such as NESC, RUS, and ASCE 7 • Knowledge of the material procurement process and construction work packages • Must be authorized for full-time work in the United States • Ability to lead a team of designers/technicians while working closely with engineering staff • Foundation design experience using FAD Tools and/or LPile is preferred • Experience with transmission line voltages of 345 kV and above is preferred • Experience with underground medium- to extra-high-voltage line designs is preferred
