Beschreibung

• Lead one agile API engineering team with approximately 6–10 engineers • Provide direct line management, mentorship, guidance, and performance management • Lead technical design and delivery within assigned product domains • Ensure alignment with architectural standards and business objectives • Collaborate with agile teams, domains, architects, engineering practice, scrum masters, and product owners • Coordinate observability and operational support of production infrastructure • Ensure system reliability and performance • Review engineering output for quality, completeness, and adherence to best practices • Provide occasional out-of-hours support for team-owned systems • Empower the team to deliver features at pace and contribute to a positive engineering culture • Report to the Head of API Platforms

🎯 Anforderungen

• 10+ years' experience in software engineering and technology development • 3+ years leading engineering teams within an agile, product-focused environment • Proven experience delivering cloud-native solutions, continuous delivery, and modern back-end architectures, including event-driven systems • Strong hands-on expertise with Java, Node.js, AWS services (Lambda, SNS, SQS, IAM, DynamoDB), GraphQL, and Postman • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation, and CI/CD pipelines using Terraform and GitLab CI • Knowledge of HashiCorp Vault, Nomad, Kong API Gateway, and Datadog • Solid understanding of application security, performance optimisation, caching technologies such as Redis, and test automation • Knowledge of solution architecture, emerging technologies, and industry trends • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills • Strong collaboration, relationship-building, and influencing skills • Analytical and strategic mindset with the ability to lead change, solve complex problems, and drive actionable outcomes
