Beschreibung

• Provide engineering design, development, and systems integration support for DoW Power & Energy storage shipboard system acquisition programs • Develop program documentation for systems development, testing, implementation, and life cycle management for existing and new power and energy systems • Characterizing large-scale Li-ion battery performance criteria, developing failure modes, test planning, fire mitigation and suppression concepts, prototyping battery-agnostic containment solutions, and evaluating other alternative energy storage system viability • Engineering support and requirements development for electrical, mechanical, and system controls and mitigation options for the system and the interfaces with the integrated shipboard environment • Assist with engineering investigations of power and energy systems, energy storage enclosures and support processes, applying failure and material analysis methods, including non-destructive and destructive analysis for lithium-ion and silver-zinc chemistry energy storage systems, enclosures and mitigation systems • Investigate and review commercially developed studies, analysis, evaluations, and assessments provided to the Government • Support of DoW acquisition and acquisition management elements

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and five or more years of experience • Experience with DoW Systems Engineering processes • Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance. Can start once interim clearance is granted. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process • US Citizenship required • Experience preparing documentation for the acquisition and life cycle processes to support of DoW systems • Experience with battery management and control systems, power supply systems, energy storage systems, batteries, and related systems • Experience with Cameo • Experience with Directed Energy
