Beschreibung

• Research and develop state-of-the-art Guidance, Navigation, and Control algorithms for high-performance flight • Work as a GNC Engineer on an agile, first-principles-driven team • Push the boundaries of state-of-the-art technology for a blue-sky project • Tune and optimize control systems in simulation and real-world environments • Solve complex problems in a fast-moving environment • Collaborate as a trustworthy teammate with strong communication and considerate conduct

🎯 Anforderungen

• BS in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Engineering with a focus on Control Systems • Minimum of 7 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or 4 years with a PhD; or equivalent work experience in vehicle dynamics modeling, flight controls, or simulation • Experience with C++ in a production environment • Experience with Matlab and Simulink • Expert knowledge of aircraft dynamics and control, stability, and handling qualities • Experience tuning and optimizing control systems in simulation and real-world environments • Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance • Preferred: MS or PhD in a related engineering field with a focus on Control Systems • Preferred: Experience with Modern Control Theory, including LQR/LQG, Adaptive Control, Robust Control, and Model Predictive Control (MPC) • Preferred: Proficiency extracting linear aircraft state-space models from nonlinear equations of motion • Preferred: Proficiency designing or selecting servos, inertial navigation systems, air data units, and vision-based navigation systems • Preferred: Familiarity with Kalman Filters, system identification techniques, git, and continuous integration and delivery • Offers contingent on a cleared background and possible reference check
