Beschreibung

• Design radiation oncology treatment plans using computer and/or manual computation to deliver prescribed radiation doses while sparing critical structures. • Identify and contour normal and dose-limiting structures using CT, MRI, PET, and other image datasets. • Create and transfer reference images and localization markers for portal verification and treatment delivery, including DRRs and CBCTs. • Supervise, perform, or assist with simulations and tumor localization using CT, MRI, PET, and other imaging devices. • Supervise, perform, or assist in fabricating compensation filters, custom shields, wedges, and other beam-modifying devices. • Supervise, perform, or assist in producing molds, casts, and other immobilization devices. • Advise radiation therapists on implementation of treatment plans, including immobilization devices, compensators, wedges, field arrangement, and treatment or imaging parameters. • Calculate prescribed-dose delivery, document pertinent information in patient records, and verify mathematical accuracy using an approved method. • Collaborate with radiation oncologists, radiation therapists, patients, family members, the radiation oncology treatment team, and outside entities.

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s degree preferred. • Board Certified by the MDCB. • Eclipse/Aria experience required. • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, clinical oncology, radiobiology, radiation physics, and radiation safety. • Expertise in radiation oncology and medical physics technical aspects for developing optimal treatment plans. • Knowledge of healthcare informatics, including resources, devices, and methods for acquiring, storing, and retrieving data. • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills. • Must have full access to Siemens Healthineers’ client sites. • Must meet applicable Vendor Credentialing requirements, which may include valid identification, criminal background checks, drug screens, immunizations, annual TB testing, and healthcare training. • Successful candidate must be able to work with controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.
