Beschreibung

• Develop the estimating team, manage department proposal capacity, and ensure proposal quality • Own selected departmental templates and processes • Coach and guide team members for professional and personal growth • Develop competitive and precise project budgets in response to client RFPs • Review client RFP documents to determine scope, schedule, and design criteria • Perform and review detailed material takeoffs from design documents and drawings • Manage proposal document development for customer submission • Develop subcontractor bid packages, solicit pricing, and drive competitive and innovative solutions • Answer subcontractor RFIs and manage bid evaluation and statistical normalization • Make subcontractor selections and cost recommendations • Facilitate alignment between Estimating and Operations • Compile and manage pricing for detailed and indicative utility-scale solar and storage opportunities • Ensure estimate accuracy and completeness before Preconstruction Leadership Team review • Identify and implement value-engineering opportunities with Business Development, Engineering, Procurement, and Operations • Support client and subcontractor contract negotiations and project pricing updates • Support Procurement in finalizing subcontractor scopes, schedules, and budgets • Complete budget tracking and cost variance analysis • Support project teams with change orders and construction-related issues • Provide historical context for design decisions and vendor/subcontractor selections • Report to the Director – Estimating and collaborate with leadership, estimating, pre-construction, business development, operations, procurement, customers, engineers, vendors, and trade partners

🎯 Anforderungen

• Experience with self-perform construction/estimating, utility-scale solar, and/or battery storage systems required • Proven leadership track record • Strong coordination, time management, active listening, verbal and written communication, critical thinking, analytical and reasoning skills • Superior attention to detail and appreciation for detail • Self-motivated and driven by team success • Ability to learn quickly and independently • Dedication to team and individual team-member growth and development • Ability to determine staffing needs and allocate team resources • Sensitivity to problems and ability to revise and adapt as necessary • Excellent mathematical skills, including application in problem solving • Computer literacy and MS Office proficiency • Strong Excel skills required • MS Project skills preferred • Procore experience a plus • Natural curiosity and results-driven, problem-solving mentality • Bachelor's degree in construction management or related areas • Prior self-perform estimating experience required • Experience in subcontract tendering and response evaluation required • Experience with solar and/or battery storage required • Prior self-perform construction experience preferred • Experience with B2W estimating software preferred
