Beschreibung

• Design and engineer high-voltage cables, associated components, and overall systems for new work and project delivery • Support Manufacturing and Installation to ensure technical surety throughout project delivery • Act as a technical consultant to customers and support sales in making technical sales • Administer High Voltage Cable design and provide technical expertise for complex electrical cable systems • Create detailed design specifications and direct system integration • Evaluate designs, materials, and methods against project requirements and industry regulations • Optimize the cable design process from concept through testing and final implementation • Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders on specifications, materials, timelines, and technical issues • Analyze project execution, system performance, and field-installation data to recommend improvements • Support routine testing and performance evaluations of cable systems • Communicate with internal teams, external partners, and customers regarding design expectations, project progress, and troubleshooting • Identify opportunities to improve cable-system designs and production methods and resolve technical challenges

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering • 5-7 years of experience • Professional Engineering (PE) license/certification listed • Knowledge of electrical engineering principles • Ability to design high-voltage cable systems and associated components • Ability to create detailed design specifications and direct system integration • Ability to evaluate designs, materials, and methods against project requirements and industry regulations • Ability to analyze project execution, system performance, and field-installation data • Ability to support cable-system testing and performance evaluations • Skills in Continuous Improvement, Process Control, Systems Engineering, Design Process, Influencing Skills, Investigation, New Product Development, Project Schedules, Schematic Capture, and Troubleshooting (Problem Solving) • Domestic travel and occasional international travel up to 25% of the time • Ability to work in office, plant/warehouse floor, extreme heat/cold, loud noise, and around equipment • Use of hard hat, computer/keyboard, safety glasses, safety shoes, and safety vest as required
