Beschreibung

• Perform all duties of a Direct Support Professional • Provide remote assistance across multiple locations to persons living independently • Multi-task while performing DSP duties and providing quality oversight and remote support to persons receiving Enabling Technology Support • Observe alerts and exterior cameras at multiple locations to ensure the safety and well-being of supported persons while fostering privacy, independence, and dignity • Support people to live self-directed lives • Communicate with Night Monitor, Program Coordinator, and Program Director regarding individual needs, concerns, and technology issues • Function as an active member of the Enabling Technology team and Circle of Support • Participate in group decision-making, information sharing, idea exchange, and collaboration • Communicate with staff remotely at shift changes • Complete documentation related to Remote Support as it occurs • Assess situations and determine appropriate courses of action • Implement Individual Support Plans • Maintain relationships with supported persons • Follow organizational rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws, and standards • Represent the organization professionally and support its mission, vision, philosophy, and person-centered practices

🎯 Anforderungen

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required • AA/BA/BS Degree in a related field preferred • Two or more years related experience working with persons with disabilities required • Experience in a competitive/supported employment setting preferred • Must meet SJCS and funding jurisdiction current requirements for criminal background/records check • Valid health certificate to meet current funding jurisdiction requirements • Valid state-issued driver’s license with current driving record in good standing required • Good communication and team-working abilities • Advanced knowledge of each person's individualized Technology Support Plan and ISP • Ability to quickly assess situations and determine the appropriate response measure • Ability to multi-task and solve problems quickly • Ability to perform required physical activities, including standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, squatting, bending, sitting, walking, climbing, and balancing
