Beschreibung

• Develop and execute multi-year category strategies for direct-material categories including PVC, plasticizers, fillers, recycled PVC, PVB, dispersions, and adhesives • Lead the full strategic sourcing lifecycle from business case development and market analysis through strategy execution, contracting, supplier qualification, and ongoing supplier management • Drive Total Cost of Ownership through market intelligence, cost modeling, should-cost analysis, and competitive benchmarking • Build feedstock-to-material cost models to validate supplier pricing and support fact-based negotiations • Negotiate complex supply agreements covering pricing, commercial terms, volume commitments, capacity guarantees, and continuity provisions • Lead Supplier Relationship Management for strategic suppliers, including joint business plans, innovation pipelines, and continuous improvement programs • Manage supplier relationships and performance against SLAs, KPIs, and cost targets • Develop category KPIs and supplier scorecards covering cost, quality, service, delivery, safety, and productivity • Analyze capacity, feedstock, logistics, trade policy, and regulatory dynamics to anticipate raw-material economic changes and develop mitigation strategies • Reduce single-source exposure through dual sourcing, qualified alternates, and regional supply options • Maintain category risk assessments and business continuity plans • Lead cross-functional stakeholder teams across Operations, R&D, Quality, Finance, Planning, and Sustainability • Partner with R&D and Quality on material qualification, specification changes, formulation alternatives, and new product introduction sourcing • Advance circularity and sustainability objectives through recycled-material sourcing, supplier carbon and EPD data collection, and lower-impact material alternatives • Partner with Supply Chain and Planning on inventory strategy, working capital, minimum order quantities, lead times, and safety stock • Measure and report category performance, savings, index price variance, lead times, service levels, and delivery improvements • Advise executive stakeholders by translating complex business cases and market dynamics into actionable recommendations • Maintain contract, pricing, and supplier data integrity in enterprise systems and ensure procurement-policy compliance

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field • MBA preferred • Minimum 6–10 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement, or in Production, R&D, or Engineering with significant commercial exposure • Preferably experience with direct materials • Strong understanding of TCO principles, strategic sourcing methodology, cost modeling, and contract negotiation • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority • Strong communication, collaboration, negotiation, presentation, and executive presence skills • Strong analytical capability, including Excel-based cost modeling • Proficiency with ERP and e-sourcing systems such as SAP and Ariba or equivalent • Problem-solving ability and practical solutions development • Ability to work remotely with a high degree of self-direction • Ability to travel up to 25% • Preferred: direct sourcing experience with PVC resin, plasticizers, fillers, PVB, dispersions, adhesives, additives, or specialty chemicals • Preferred: recycled or post-consumer material sourcing and circular-economy initiatives • Preferred: multi-plant manufacturing environment, flooring, building products, or plastics processing knowledge • Preferred: end-to-end category management expertise • Preferred: index-based and formula pricing, commodity risk management, and hedging concepts • Preferred: supply market, cost-driver, and direct-material technology knowledge • Preferred: business case development and senior stakeholder influence • Preferred: advanced project management skills • Preferred: supplier contract creation, negotiation, and administration • Preferred: Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement training • Preferred: CPSM, CPSD, CIPS, or C.P.M. certification
