Beschreibung
• Considered an expert in managing insurance claims for policyholders • Handle claims with high severity and complexity • Develop relationships and communicate effectively with a diverse range of clients • Analyze insurance policies and documents to determine coverage • Investigate and analyze claim information to determine liability • Handle complex to major severity claims • Assist in suits, mediations, and arbitrations • Work with Counsel in the defense of litigation • Set timely, adequate reserves in compliance with company philosophy • Engage experts to assist in evaluation of claims • Monitor vendor performance and control expense costs • Evaluate, negotiate and determine settlement values • Communicate with all interested parties throughout the life of the claim • Proactively discuss coverage decisions, information needs, and settlement amounts • Handle all claims in accordance with Best Practices • Monitor and complete assigned claims inventory • Identify opportunities for subrogation and protect recovery interests • Identify fraud indicators and refer files to SIU for investigation • Participate in claims audits, internal and external • Provide oversight of TPAs • Assist with special projects
🎯 Anforderungen
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience • 10+ years of claims adjusting experience • At least 5 years handling both commercial and residential property claims • Emphasis on Florida claims to include the involvement of Assignment of Benefits, Public Adjusters, and Attorneys • Florida resident preferred • Insurance designations preferred • State adjuster licenses preferred
