Beschreibung

• Define the multi-year technical direction for Natter’s AI-powered conversational platform and connect it to business outcomes • Lead design of critical, high-risk systems including the AI conversation pipeline, data architecture, and multi-tenant platform • Make and defend major build-versus-buy, data model, service boundary, and platform decisions • Own reliability, security, observability, performance, and cost standards across the platform • Contribute to engineering hiring, leveling, and development • Mentor senior engineers into Staff-level contributors and own the technical hiring bar • Partner with product and engineering leadership to improve product direction • Represent Natter technically in enterprise security reviews, architecture deep dives, and high-stakes incidents • Stay hands-on by building prototypes, coding critical components, and resolving severe technical issues • Work closely with the CEO, Head of Engineering, product leadership, and engineering team

🎯 Anforderungen

• Operated at Staff level or above, formally recognised at Staff, Principal, or equivalent, or senior technical lead at a startup with clearly equivalent scope • Impact across multiple teams or the whole engineering organisation • Authored technical strategy or major architectural direction and drove alignment through delivery • Lead designer of production systems handling significant load, data, or complexity, with ownership of migrations, re-architectures, incidents, and reversals • Owned production incidents with real business impact from response through root cause to systemic fixes • Demonstrated ability to grow engineers into senior or Staff roles and introduce lasting standards or practices • Exceptional written communication and high-caliber design and strategy documents • Regularly writes production code and remains a top-tier hands-on engineer • Deep expertise in at least one domain: distributed systems, data infrastructure, or frontend architecture • Sufficient fluency across the stack to make sound technical decisions • Deep AWS and infrastructure experience, including production cloud architecture, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and observability at scale • Built and operated AI/LLM-powered products in production is a strong signal • Enterprise B2B SaaS experience at scale, including multi-tenancy, SSO, data isolation, and compliance such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or GDPR is a strong signal • Production experience with event-driven and streaming architectures such as Kafka is a strong signal • Experience taking a platform and engineering team through rapid startup growth is a strong signal • Public technical work such as talks, writing, or meaningful open-source contributions is a strong signal • Must have written production code regularly in the last two years • Ability to become credible across Kotlin, TypeScript, Python, Rust, React, Postgres, DynamoDB, Kafka, ECS, EKS, Lambda, and AWS CDK quickly
