Beschreibung
• Act as the key day-to-day client interface and deliver value-added cost management services • Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle • Produce and present cost plans, estimates, budgets, and monthly cost reports • Review design-team and general-contractor cost estimates • Reconcile changes and validate contractor data • Gather project status information and prepare cost estimate updates • Review contractor submissions and prepare written comments and executive summaries • Coordinate cost information from clients, subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and engineers • Drive engineering priorities based on cost impact • Manage cost checks, valuations, cost auditing, and cost validation • Manage cost variances, change control, contingencies, commitments, and financial risks • Prepare funding-data presentations and coordinate value-engineering sessions • Lead bid reviews, procurement strategy, cost analysis, and contractor/subcontractor pricing negotiations • Align cost plans with schedules for cash flow, accruals, and forecasting • Develop parametric and hybrid cost models for estimating, benchmarking, and scenario analysis • Leverage historical data, market intelligence, and industry trends • Support AI-enabled cost-modeling tools and scalable cost-intelligence platforms • Collaborate with technical teams to translate workflows into digital solutions • Partner with clients and project teams on scope, cost, and delivery strategy • Provide value-engineering and data-driven recommendations • Communicate cost and risk insights to senior stakeholders • Contribute to enterprise cost strategies, capital planning, and long-range forecasting • Negotiate and agree final accounts • Compile built-cost estimate records for benchmarking • Mentor team members and drive continuous improvement • Track commission margins, fees, resource forecasts, and financial reports using internal software • Implement business management systems, delivery methodologies, and tools • Adhere to SOX controls where applicable
🎯 Anforderungen
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a construction-related field • Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in a construction-industry cost management role • RICS accredited or working towards it preferred • Experience leading cost management on medium or large, medium- to high-complexity construction projects • Construction consultancy experience strongly preferred • Knowledge of construction industry technical matters, procurement routes, value management, and value engineering • Excellent communication skills • Ability to work in a client-facing role • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • On-site presence and requirements may change depending on client needs
