Beschreibung

• Design, build, test, and maintain scalable backend systems, services, and APIs supporting Upstart Bank initiatives • Deliver high-quality software while partnering with senior engineers on medium-to-large engineering projects • Translate business, operational, and regulatory requirements into reliable, maintainable software • Improve system reliability, observability, and operational excellence across backend services • Participate in technical design discussions while growing engineering depth and technical ownership • Collaborate closely with Product, Compliance, Legal, Risk, Finance, Operations, and Engineering to deliver high-quality software • Uphold a high engineering bar through thoughtful implementation, testing, code review, and operational ownership • Demonstrate curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to learn while contributing to a growing engineering organization

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) • 2+ years of software engineering experience • Experience building production backend or full-stack software systems • Experience working with APIs, backend services, or web applications • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Kotlin, Python, Go, or similar • Strong engineering fundamentals around software design, testing, debugging, and operational ownership • Ability to work effectively in ambiguous, cross-functional environments
