Beschreibung

• Own engineering end to end, including systems, people, and engineering standards • Protect speed, simplicity, and ownership as the company and headcount grow • Set standards for uptime, incident response, and safe changes to systems that move money • Lead and develop the engineering leadership layer, including hiring and replacing managers and directors when necessary • Personally participate in senior hiring • Set Wave’s AI vision and advance production AI and safe coding-agent tooling • Plan architecture and organizational structure to support expansion into new markets • Represent engineering to engineers, non-engineers, leadership, and regulators through clear written communication • Report to CEO Drew Durbin • Travel to operating markets at least twice per year to stay close to local realities, products, teams, and users

🎯 Anforderungen

• Managed an engineering organization of approximately 100 people, including managers who manage others • Software engineering background and ability to read code and follow technical arguments • Accountability for systems where failure was expensive, involving money, safety, or regulated data • Experience hiring senior engineering leaders • Experience moving someone out of an unsuccessful role • Strong clear, short, and persuasive writing for non-engineering audiences • Demonstrated point of view and practical experience with AI in engineering • Belief in Wave’s mission and ability to explain that motivation • Resume and cover letter must be submitted in English
