Beschreibung

• Lead complex contract negotiations and provide strategic contractual guidance across a diverse project portfolio • Provide contractual and commercial leadership across projects and business activities • Manage contract review workloads and advise stakeholders on contractual matters • Drive best-practice contract management and support commercial objectives while minimising risk • Lead contract professionals and strengthen stakeholder relationships in collaboration with the Head of Contracts • Act as a trusted advisor on contract law and commercial governance • Partner with internal stakeholders, clients, and suppliers to support successful project delivery • Lead contract management activities and influence commercial decision-making with a high degree of autonomy • Review contract qualifications and ensure an appropriate balance of risk • Provide contract terms and conditions overviews to senior management and execution teams • Advise businesses on client contracting and negotiation strategies • Manage commercial deliverables including bonds, PCGs, and evidence of insurance • Prepare, negotiate, establish, and administer joint venture and partnering agreements • Identify strategies to avoid or mitigate risks from contract terms and policy deviations • Support commercial handovers for awarded contracts • Deliver continuous improvement and innovative ways of working • Ensure commercial policies are understood and correctly applied • Provide contract governance and assurance and recommend corrective action • Manage and develop assigned Contracts team members • Provide contracts input to TGP processes, tenders, and proposals • Develop contract flowdown requirements for purchase orders and subcontracts with supply chain • Assist with pursuing Wood’s claims and defending claims against Wood • Represent Wood in industry-wide contract initiatives, seminars, and workgroups

🎯 Anforderungen

• Degree required in Law, Quantity Surveying, or Business • Proven experience and track record in contract review, drafting, and negotiation in a service company environment • Industry work experience demonstrating understanding of and exposure to key contracting principles • Experience negotiating and setting up JVs, MOUs, bidding agreements, and consortium agreements • Expert knowledge of contract terms and principles • Experience drafting and rolling out contracting policies • Working knowledge of Company Finance and HR systems • Awareness of relevant corporate and project procedures • Excellent understanding of client contract structures, principles, and policies • Contract experience in engineering and construction projects in at least one of life sciences, mining, power, infrastructure, environmental, or oil and gas industries • Experience with EPC, EPCm, or standard contract model forms including NEC, FIDIC, JCT, LOGIC, or regional equivalents • Relevant client-facing contracting experience • Line management experience • Strong negotiation skills • Leadership and people management capabilities • Strategic mindset and operational improvement capability • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong planning, organisation, and prioritisation skills • Client-focused relationship-building skills • Mentoring and coaching skills • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities • Legal qualification is desirable, not required
