World Central Kitchen ist eine gemeinnützige humanitäre Organisation, die Menschen, die von Naturkatastrophen, Konflikten und klimabedingten Krisen betroffen sind, unmittelbar mit professionell zubereiteten Mahlzeiten versorgt. WCK leistet in Krisengebieten Nothilfe durch die Bereitstellung von Lebensmitteln, betreibt klimabezogene und langfristige Resilienzprogramme, mobilisiert ein globales Netzwerk aus Köchinnen, Köchen und Freiwilligen (Chef Corps/Chefs for ... ) und finanziert sich als registrierte 501(c)(3)-Organisation durch Spenden und freiwilliges Engagement. Nach eigenen Angaben hat WCK weltweit bereits Hunderte Millionen Mahlzeiten ausgegeben und verbindet die schnelle Versorgung mit Mahlzeiten mit längerfristiger Unterstützung beim Wiederaufbau lokaler Gemeinschaften.

Beschreibung

• Lead frontline community outreach operations so food aid reaches disaster-affected communities quickly • Conduct rapid community assessments and identify urgent food needs • Recruit, train, motivate, and manage locally driven community outreach teams and Corps members • Build trusting, culturally competent relationships with diverse communities • Respond to disaster areas within four hours' notice, usually for activations lasting approximately four weeks • Design and implement adaptable response strategies in natural-disaster and conflict environments • Consult on response scope and manage or implement community outreach operations • Provide regular operational updates to the Response Director • Collaborate with WCK departments, procurement, logistics, finance, and local stakeholders • Ensure transitions and handovers between Activation Managers and rotating Response Corps teams • Complete After-Action Reports and capture process-improvement learnings • Gather beneficiary feedback and recommend response scale-up or wind-down strategies • Share cost projections for meal production and logistical needs • Source materials and supplies and ensure timely delivery to affected areas • Represent World Central Kitchen as an ambassador to beneficiaries, partners, and media • Perform other responsibilities and special projects as needed

🎯 Anforderungen

• Ability to spend up to 70% of the time in the field • Must live within one (1) hour of an international airport or be willing to relocate • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to remote and potentially hazardous locations within four hours notice • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent preferred, or 5+ years of experience in management roles • Experience in fast-paced, ever-changing environments, preferably military, emergency response, culinary, humanitarian, or event management settings • Experience leading, training, and coaching large teams in challenging and rapidly changing environments • Ability to synthesize a large volume of information into actionable steps under pressure • Ability to work independently with minimal infrastructure and resources • Willingness to work in challenging environments with austere living conditions • Ability to work well with others and take directions to protect yourself and the team • Demonstrated negotiation and diplomacy skills in complex and potentially volatile situations • Calm and composed demeanor during crisis situations, with capacity to make sound decisions under pressure • Physical fitness and stamina to work long hours doing physically demanding tasks in varying and potentially extreme climates • Strong mental resilience and emotional intelligence to cope with stressors associated with working in conflict environments • Cultural awareness and sensitivity when working with local communities • Fluency in English required; proficiency in Spanish, French, or Portuguese highly desirable • Must have a valid Driver's License • Must have a valid Passport • Must already hold the right to work in Spain, Malaysia, Singapore, Poland, Portugal, or the Philippines • No visa sponsorship or relocation support provided • Cover letter required • Subject to reference and background checks
