Description

• Own the integrity, administration, monitoring, and day-to-day operation of the firm's U.S. and international patent prosecution docket • Review and analyze incoming and outgoing U.S., PCT, and foreign patent prosecution correspondence • Identify, calculate, enter, update, clear, and monitor statutory and procedural deadlines • Ensure responsible team members are aware of required actions, in collaboration with BHIP Hills A.I. • Manage intake and triage of USPTO, WIPO, foreign associate, client, and practitioner correspondence • Verify bibliographic information, priority claims, application status, and outstanding deadlines using official patent systems • Conduct quality-control audits and reconcile docket information against official records and source documents • Investigate discrepancies and drive issues through resolution • Prepare and maintain reports on deadlines, outstanding actions, portfolio status, and related information • Establish and verify docket records for new applications, clients, and transferred matters • Reconstruct prosecution histories and identify outstanding obligations and deadlines when necessary • Improve docketing procedures, checklists, controls, and workflows • Support patent practitioners and prosecution paralegals with accurate portfolio information and meaningful portfolio insights • Procure signatures on filing and patent prosecution documents • Prepare and file U.S. and international patent applications and prosecution documents, including declarations, assignments, powers of attorney, petitions, IDSs, and supporting documents as needed

🎯 Exigences

• Significant experience independently docketing U.S. and international patent prosecution matters • Ideally 4+ years of patent prosecution support experience, including substantial responsibility for docket management • Ability to identify and calculate patent prosecution deadlines from source correspondence • Knowledge of statutory deadlines, reminders, and patent-prosecution extensions • Familiarity with U.S., PCT, and foreign patent application lifecycles and prosecution events • Experience with Patent Center, WIPO/PATENTSCOPE, EPO Register, Global Dossier, and foreign patent office databases • Experience with a dedicated IP docketing system required • AppColl experience strongly preferred • Experience with Trello, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and modern project-management tools helpful • Ability to locate bibliographic and prosecution information across jurisdictions • Ability to manage concurrent deadlines and communicate issues, risks, and required actions clearly • Ability to self-direct, prioritize, follow through, and own results • Prior remote/distributed-environment experience helpful • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy • Willingness to learn filing procedures as backup support • Highly collaborative, people-first approach • Dedicated W-2 team member; not seeking overflow docketing work or a contract engagement • Must work from a reasonably well-Internet-connected location in the U.S.
