Description

• Lead, coach, and grow the Control Plane Platform team • Recruit, set expectations, provide feedback and career development, and manage performance • Own outcomes across API gateways, API standards, shared platform services, deployment and infrastructure patterns, CI and testing, developer experience, disaster recovery, and observability • Treat integrating engineering teams as platform customers and measure delivery velocity and platform adoption • Guide architecture and help senior engineers make sound technical tradeoffs • Lead cross-cutting migrations, deprecations, and contract changes across teams • Contribute to designs and code for gateway routing, authentication/RBAC enforcement, spec-driven code generation, event delivery semantics, idempotency, and multi-region rollout safety • Own SLOs, reliability, on-call quality, and cost efficiency for Kubernetes-hosted, multi-tenant services across cloud regions • Systematize support and reduce operational toil • Build self-service and auto-healing capabilities, golden-path templates, generators, and documentation • Shape the platform vision, roadmap, and business-impact priorities • Write RFCs and build cross-organizational consensus before major changes

🎯 Exigences

• 8+ years in software engineering • 3+ years managing software engineers • Track record of hiring, developing, and retaining strong talent • Experience leading a platform or infrastructure team serving other engineering teams • Experience driving adoption and cross-organizational migrations through influence and tooling • Experience leading distributed global teams • Experience fostering an inclusive and autonomous culture across time zones • Experience building scalable, highly available, and secure AWS cloud infrastructure, including EKS, SQS, DocumentDB, Redis, PostgreSQL, and Lambdas • Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform and Helm • Experience with progressive delivery using Argo Rollouts or similar • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including shared-cluster hosting patterns for independently deployed applications • Familiarity with OpenAPI-driven contracts and API gateways • Knowledge of authentication, RBAC, rate limiting, versioning, and deprecation • Track record of decomposing monoliths into independently deployable services • Technical credibility in architecture and incident response • Hands-on experience diving into code and designs, reviewing code, and guiding through feedback • Strong execution judgment across ambiguity, parallel workstreams, risk, and long-term system health
