Description

• Own application surfaces including an embeddable widget, clinician portal, and Python service layer • Ship meaningful changes across the widget, portal, and service layer • Take ownership of major integrations or platform initiatives • Act as primary reviewer for application-side design decisions • Deliver end-to-end systems used by external teams • Mentor potential junior engineers toward independent ownership • Operate critical application work supporting the AI Intake system • Manage encounter data flow and integrations with partner platforms • Own and scale internal tools used by the engineering team and clinicians • Drive full-stack architectural decisions and identify areas needing improvement • Coordinate the application layer with AI/ML engineers responsible for the conversation pipeline, prompts, and clinical-safety layer • Ship and version shared components while protecting consuming teams from breaking changes • Maintain current dependencies and operate production systems

🎯 Exigences

• 6+ years of professional full-stack web software experience, including at least 1 year operating at a Staff level and living with architecture you built • Depth in TypeScript and React • Fluency in a modern server-rendered framework, specifically Next.js • Strong Python experience with an async web framework • Experience with relational schema design, migrations, and caching • Experience building versioned dependencies consumed by other teams, such as widgets, SDKs, or component libraries • Fluency with LLM application development, including prompts, evaluations, and cost tradeoffs • Healthcare experience involving PHI, HIPAA, clinical workflows, or patient-facing surfaces with real safety stakes • Familiarity with agent or workflow orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph • Experience designing for accessibility and internationalization • AWS background, especially Bedrock, and infrastructure-as-code • Eval tooling experience with Braintrust, LangSmith, or custom-built equivalents • Experience as the first or second engineer on a greenfield product • Ability to mentor junior engineers and collaborate with data scientists and cross-functional partners
