Fetch indique compter des millions de personnes gagnant des récompenses chaque mois, des millions d'avis sur l'application et plus d'un milliard de dollars de récompenses distribuées. Le service mise sur la simplicité du scan des tickets de caisse, l'accumulation de points et des récompenses accessibles aux consommateurs.

Description

• Design, scale, and evolve high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems powering Fetch’s personalized advertising platform. • Define architecture for ad selection, targeting, pacing, delivery, attribution, and measurement services. • Make decisions about partitioning, caching, consistency, concurrency, and performance as the platform scales. • Design graceful degradation under partial failures, traffic spikes, and downstream degradation. • Establish metrics, tracing, SLOs, and alerting for revenue-generating systems. • Guide transactional and non-transactional stores, streaming, messaging, caching, and real-time processing architecture. • Establish organization-level standards for service design, APIs, observability, reliability, testing, and operational readiness. • Lead major migrations, architectural redesigns, and platform re-foundations. • Own long-term Ads platform engineering strategy and influence company-wide priorities and architecture. • Solve complex cross-organizational problems and lead technical alignment across Ads, Platform, Product, Data, and ML. • Mentor staff and senior engineers and coach engineering managers and technical leaders. • Remain hands-on across architecture, implementation, debugging, strategy, and mentorship.

🎯 Exigences

• Significant experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed backend systems in production. • Deep understanding of distributed systems, including partitioning, replication, consistency models, caching, concurrency, asynchronous processing, failure modes, and coordination. • Experience diagnosing and solving performance and scaling problems across applications, databases, caches, queues, networks, and infrastructure. • Strong expertise with service-oriented or microservice architectures, APIs, event-driven systems, and high-volume data processing. • Experience making architectural tradeoffs across relational and non-relational databases, streaming platforms, caching technologies, and distributed storage. • Strong production operations experience with observability, SLOs, incident response, capacity planning, load testing, and reliability engineering. • Track record of driving major migrations or architectural redesigns improving scalability, velocity, or reliability. • Track record of solving deeply complex, cross-organizational problems blocking major initiatives. • Demonstrated influence on long-term engineering strategy and architecture across multiple teams or organizations. • Experience mentoring principal and staff engineers and coaching engineering managers and technical leaders. • Ability to remain hands-on at Principal scope across architecture, implementation, debugging, strategy, and mentorship. • Fluency in Kubernetes, event streaming, distributed data stores, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and observability tooling. • Preferred: experience with advertising, ad-serving, auction, marketplace, recommendation, or real-time decisioning systems. • Preferred: familiarity with targeting, pacing, bidding, frequency management, attribution, incrementality, measurement, and revenue integrity. • Preferred: experience with very high request rates, strict tail latency, large-scale event streaming, and real-time processing. • Preferred: experience designing multi-region or globally distributed systems. • Preferred: success reducing infrastructure cost while increasing throughput, reliability, or performance. • Preferred: experience with real-time ML inference, ranking, recommendation, or personalization. • Preferred: influence through open source, standards bodies, or the broader technical community.
