Description

• Conduct daily sales calls on existing customers and prospect for new customers throughout the assigned area • Present Floor & Decor commercial products to builders, developers, designers, contractors, and other sales and installation decision makers • Generate leads, procure clients, and manage commercial jobs • Liaise with the Inside Commercial Sales team and end-user customers • Source, bid, and administer large commercial jobs with the Commercial Support Center • Manage projects from opportunity identification through product selection, specification, ordering, delivery, installation oversight, punch walks, and claim coordination • Follow up on leads from Dodge, stores, networking groups, and other sources • Work with PRO Teams to pursue commercial leads and maximize sales • Prepare proposals and responses to RFQs and RFPs after obtaining management approval for pricing and specifications • Coordinate with Inside Commercial Sales on key dates to complete sales and satisfy customer requirements • Coordinate with purchasing and inventory teams to confirm product availability or special purchase orders • Stay current on merchandise training, new products, and product lines • Monitor prospects’ contract calendars and prepare lead-status and other required reports • Participate in trade associations, trade shows, and promotional efforts • Travel daily by car throughout the assigned area, with limited air travel for customer or corporate events

🎯 Exigences

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent • 3+ years previous commercial industry sales experience required, preferably within the flooring or building materials industry • Successful track record in an outside sales environment • Familiarity with the local market • Competence working with and managing a customer base through a CRM tool such as Salesforce.com • Experience in RFPs, commercial job bids, and general construction sales • Experience working in a retail environment is a plus • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, including influencing and negotiation skills • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment • Ability to work in an unstructured, unsupervised environment, exercise independent judgment, and demonstrate solid time management and organizational skills • Ability and willingness to prospect for new accounts
