Description

• Partner with Engineering and Commodity teams to integrate cost-control principles into product and project development • Lead cross-functional workshops to generate cost-reduction ideas through material substitution, design simplification, and manufacturing-process improvements • Manage end-to-end execution of cost-out projects • Track progress, mitigate risks, and ensure savings are realized and validated through the P&L • Establish target costs for components and assemblies using Should-Cost modeling • Provide data-backed insights during negotiations and design reviews • Monitor and report cost-out performance metrics, including project pipeline value, realized savings, and margin improvement • Maintain a dashboard tracking project status and savings realization • Engage key suppliers in value-engineering initiatives with the Sourcing team • Leverage supplier technical expertise to reduce manufacturing costs • Develop and standardize the cost-out process • Ensure consistent methodologies for opportunity identification and financial validation • Measure annualized savings, project pipeline health, and cost-reduction forecast accuracy

🎯 Exigences

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or a related discipline; or significant equivalent experience in sourcing, manufacturing engineering, value engineering, product costing, or procurement • 5–8+ years of experience in product costing, value engineering, procurement, or product design • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including forgings, machining, investment casting, fabrication, and integrations • Proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and resolve technical disagreements between design requirements and cost constraints • Strong financial acumen and ability to translate technical design changes into tangible P&L impacts • Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with strict timelines and financial targets • Fluent English proficiency • Master's degree in a technical or business discipline preferred • 8+ years of sourcing experience for power generation products, preferably focused on plant equipment accessories (MSD, BOP, HRSG), preferred • Experience with Lean tools, including A3, VSM, and problem solving, preferred • Strong quantitative and analytical skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills • Proactive self-starter and change agent • Strong analytical and process mindset • Experience with SAP, Smartsheet, and Tableau • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
