Description

• Lead detection engine and pipeline modernization to support the full Sigma v2 specification, including stateful correlation across events over time • Rework existing detection pipelines and build new ones on a common platform • Own validation proving reworked pipelines behave like the systems they replace • Build reliability guarantees including end-to-end latency measurement, liveness coverage, and alerting for missing expected work • Build mechanisms to keep detection-volume spikes bounded and recoverable • Drive coherent internal event-schema and data-contract standards • Build validation and drift-detection tooling to identify upstream changes before detections break • Lead major workstreams and set technical direction for other engineering teams • Write and review production code weekly • Report to the Engineering Manager

🎯 Exigences

• Deep experience designing, building, and operating production distributed systems at scale, primarily in Go, with the range to work across several layers of the stack • Experience replacing or substantially re-architecting a live, high-throughput system without breaking its consumers, including proving equivalence, staging cut-over, and safely retiring the old path • Experience with high-volume event or data pipelines and understanding their behavior under load • Strong operability instincts, including designing observability and alerting for absence of expected work • Demonstrated technical leadership across team boundaries without positional authority • Judgment about production quality and release readiness • Hands-on experience with AI coding tools and a point of view on using them correctly for security outcomes • Strongly preferred: background in security operations or security engineering • Strongly preferred: experience with detection-as-code or rule- and DSL-driven systems • Strongly preferred: experience building platform tooling for non-engineer authors • Ruby on Rails experience is a nice-to-have, not a requirement • Primary proficiency in Go; Go will be assessed directly in interviews
